I currently have a early red top 4age (bigport, TVIS, 7rib block) and I'm looking into building it into a streetable/drift motor.
This motor was out of a AE92 FWD and I'm converting it to RWD. The things I have for the motor to do the swap are the RWD trans, RWD intake, RWD water pump, motor mounts. I'm looking to start building the motor and putting some money into it.

As far as budget... I have none. I just want a nice streetable/drift motor with some longevity to it. I'm not looking for tons of horsepower but just a little boost of horsepower to keep the car sideways.

Internals of the motor I heard were the "weakest" out of all generations. So I'm looking to give a little internal work if needed and a boost in compression. Help me out on some parts for a very nice motor build. Thanks!

Then he just did a solid rebuild with quality parts. ACL race bearings, ARP rod bearings, everything measured, inspected and machined or massaged as necessary.

Other than that he got a wideband gauge to monitor AFRs and built his own DIY detcan to make sure it didn't detonate dangerously.
He also got an adjustable FPR to dial in his AFRs a little better.
This is on an AW11 so it would read a little lower on a RWD but there is also a little more potential there especially if he goes with aftermarket engine management.

Anybody know hat size the pins are on my motor? Is it 20mm pins?

If it's pre 86 you probably have 18mm pins but you will really have to open up the motor to be sure.

Should be 20mm wrist pins... but now that these cars/engines are 25+ years old... anything is possible

Have you driven the car with the engine in yet ?
An extra 20psi in the rear tyres is likely to make just as much difference as an extra 20hp which is about all you will get in the real world
