I have a built 4age 16v and want a COP set up. I also have an formula atlantic cam cover which has a cam sensor on it. Question:
What ignition trigger system does the formula atlantic use? trigger wheel?
What is the use of the cam angle sensor on the atlantic cam cover? Do i still need it even if I'm running webers?

Do you have a picture of this cam sensor?
There have been many iterations of FA so it's hard to make any blanket statements but I would expect any non dizzy version to use a crank angle sensor. This is much more accurate and better than cam angle.

I hope to have crank pulleys available soon that will have an integrated trigger wheel and a hidden sensor behind the timing cover.

on motec, pectel ect.. ecu's to be able to run sequential ignition/fuel you need both cam and crank sensors. the ecu needs to know what cycle the engine is on.

This ^^^^. The crank sensor provides timing information, and the cam angle
sensor provides a reset to tell the ECU which cylinder to inject or ignite. If you
don't have a cam sensor, the ECU can only batch fire the COP's.

Although in theory batch firing COP's should not work, plenty of people do it
on injected engines and it works. Maybe it will work on a carbed engine, but
I have not tried it and don't know if it will work.

Better to use the cam sensor and then your ECU can run sequential ignition
(four ign outputs required) or wasted spark (two ign outputs required).
