I have a few question on clutch system.

1. Does a 7A 200mm flywheel work with 215mm clutch? The reason i asked is i found an affordable light flywheel compared to Fidanza 215mm flywheel. was thinking if its ok or safe to match them together.

2. i was told that single/multi plate clutch kit does not release as much HP as the normal single clutch kit. Is this true?

my setup is a 7age 20v. im not sure if the 200mm + light FW is better or less performance than 215mm + oem FW.

don't mix and match the 200 & 212mm, and keep in mind that the 7AFE is a 6 bolt flywheel, while the 4AGE is 8. 4AC is 6, as well as the 4AFE.

My 7a flywheel is 6 bolt 215mm

I was hnaware the 7afe was 2-5mm, im used to hearing 200 & 212 for the 4age's. Regardless, dont mix and match different size clutch and flywheels

is there and HP loss if i switch from 212 to 200mm?

I don't think you lose/gain any hp by changing to a different diameter flywheel.

I think the only thing that might change is torque band, since going to a smaller lighter flywheel will cuz the engine spin faster and give you better throttle response.

That's why ppl go with lighter flywheels so the engine has to use less force to get to the power band faster. This is just my theory.

I'm sure there are ppl on here that can break down the dynamics and engineering verbiage of how this works.

The diameter of the flywheel itself between 200mm and 215mm set ups is the same, it's only the friction face diameter that's different. You won't lose or gain anything going between the two with power, torque or inertia. Just have more clamping area using a 215mm clutch and flywheel.

Also no difference in power between single and multi plate clutches, just more clamping area again.
