20v blacktop itb alpha-n haltech

Postby AlpineFD » Mon Aug 22, 2016 7:38 pm

Hello !

I bought a Haltech Sprint 500 and looking to install this in a AE86 with 20v blacktop swap.
I'm planning to use a fairly aggressive cam (Kelford Type C), so I've heard the map signal will not be accurate, and we should tune
using Alpha-N

Does anyone have information on how to setup Alpha-N on Haltech?

Any Haltech tips for my setup will be greatly appreciated.

From the Haltech website blurb for the Platinum Sprint 500...
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
• 1 to 8 Cylinder engines
• Normally Aspirated or forced induction
• Load sensing by throttle position or manifold pressure (MAP)
• Sequential, semi-sequential, batch or multi-point injection patterns
• Distributor ignition systems or multi-coil systems

Alpha-N is another way of describing an ECU that uses the TPS as the primary
load sensor, and the fuel/ignition maps use TPS angle (alpha) vs engine rpm
(N) as the axes. The above quote indicates that this should be selectable in
the software when you are setting up the ECU parameters.

The setup procedure will be covered in some detail in the manual that you
will have received with the ECU.

Is this a Battle Garage kit? We have a new Alpha-N map that is available to current customers.

If so, please shoot us an email.
