Just use sandpaper to reduce the diameter until it fits. You won't hurt the coil, just keep test fitting the plug until it gets in.

Should only be .4 mm reduction in diameter. You could dremel, but you'll have an uneven finish and may puncture the casing. Ideally you would turn it on a lathe to reduce it's diameter like Sam Q did, but a lathe isn't exactly a household item.
I'll be honest I haven't had to do it yet, my COP's are actually still in the mail, but if you use a rough grit sandpaper it should work fine.

sanding them on a belt sander will work...by hand you will be there all week just doing one....i machined mines into the metal casing under the plastic because my heads spark plug tubes had to be modified to clear my cams lobes...no problem the metal casing under the plastic is the insulator.

Sanded all 4 down by hand and fitting in about 15 minutes. It's not a big deal. Just wipe them off with a damp cloth between test fittings.

Custom 300 duration/10.7mm lift made by Toda...never available to the public due to the mods needed to make them fit ....they were specifically made and used on their N2 AE111's back in the day...about 1.5mm more and the lobes would break thru the spark plug tubes...thus the reason i had to shave one side of my COPs
