On behalf of everyone who contributes; thanks Rick, and all the best to you and yours :)

Another year has come and (almost) gone, and I have learned a few things. Forums like
this remain the only place where you can expect to get sensible real-world answers to your
DIY questions about your AE86. The internet is full of people who don't know sh*t about
cars but who are all too ready to give their opinion. Luckily, these people feel more at
home on Fb where they can spread their worthless opinions and contribute to averaging
down the pool of automotive knowledge.

Even in the specialist Fb groups, the few that actually have some knowledge seem to be
more interested in bitch slapping new menbers who ask basic questions, than they are in
actually spreading some knowledge. Everyone is a mighty warrior behind a keyboard ;)

So I am thankful to those grumpy old men who still take the time to answer questions on
this forum. An AE86 is the perfect first car for anyone on a budget that wants to learn the
basic skills of restoring, repairing and driving. And this is the place to come for advice.

Peace to all... jondee86

Well said jondee86!
A very merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone from me as well :) "Grumpy old men" on this and the mr2board forums contributed more to me rebuilding my 4age and aw11 than any other resource on the internet.

This 'grumpy ol' git' has an adversity to political correctness so I will echo mr2mk1hero above and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !
