OST-054: 3 rib with snap

OST-054's owner is "local" (no shipping). The first head he brought to me, back in early December, had seen an "attempt" at changing the squish pads He had bought the head a few years ago as the one he would build - he wasn't too happy once I showed him the flaw
At this time I'd like to STRONGLY recommend that if you "try" to port a head, and you don't know what you are doing... STOP. In the past 3 years I've bought 3 heads that had to be scrapped because of very poor "attempts"..... that ruined the casting If you are going to try... just make sure that head isn't sold on.......
So my client disassembles his engine to get me his current head... and it too has seen a hand inside it. On this one it wasn't "fatal"..... the roof of the port has seen some "work"... along with a lot of "smoothing" inside the exhaust port.
This type of work (tapering port roof) I try to reserve for ITB equipped heads to try and and match the angle of the ITB adapter. In this case some care was used by the previous "porter" so that this head could be re-used.
disassembled, prior to cleaning
This head has been machined once as well
more to come....
