Been searching around and can't find anyone that makes something for me to use to plug up the injectors to go carb. I don't want to thread the injector port either.

Anyone have a source?

Both of those would work just fine, and I have actually used both of those on my own cars.

The expansion plug works great and is easy to remove if you decide you might want to go back to FI. The expansion plugs are alittle more more, but also solid and less worry. Pretty much up to you, which route you want to go.

On my recent head I threaded my ports and just used a threaded plug. It's still reversible and I could always go back to FI still.

Neither of those will fit, but that's the right idea. I used 16mm freeze plugs in my head.

That's what I wanted, NST used to make them, but they said there wasn't a demand for them so they won't make any more. I demanded some, but I don't count I reckon. How much can you get those for?

That's not so bad, my freeze plugs were around $25 from England because nobody in North America carried 16mm.

Pick up a set of Dorman 5/8" concave Freeze Plugs p/n: 550005 or 550-005

With a metal dowel and a small 4lb sledge, tap them in to the ports with them convex i.e. the concave part facing in towards the injector ports. The reason being is that even though they are already snug, as you tap them in on the con-vexed portion side (which is facing you), you're causing the plug to expand outwards to further take up any gaps that may exist in the injector port. Don't overdue it though. Just enough to get things nice and tight.

If anyone is interested, I spoke with my friend who I worked with on commissioning him to make the injector port plugs for NST. He expressed interest in making a few sets if anyone really is interested. Anyone who is seriously interested in a set please let me know before the end of the week.
