Welded injector ports

Postby totta crolla » Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:32 am

I have a 200hp+ capable smallport head that had been used with carbs. For some reason the builder decided to weld up the injection ports rather than plugging them. Any thoughts as to whether it might be salvagable to run with injectors again?

If you can get the proper alignment, I see no reason the head can't be set on a jig and the injector ports milled back into the head.....

and as for you Jondee.....

Thanks guys.
I have a spare smallport head, I guess that can be used to get the correct alignment.
