you need two 8x1.25 bolts and two 8x1.25 nuts. And it looks like the lines are hooked up fine. Are you running the stock oil cooler?

With the factory sandwich plate, it still acts like the OEM unit. The spring and valve inside the plate only allows oil flow when oil pressure (increase in engine rpm) overcomes the spring pressure and allows flow into the oil cooler. Make that jump to the Mocal sandwich plate and get full flow all the time and it has a built in thermostat too. Step up that game ;) Just remember you need to remove the spring and valve inside that OEM plate when you do make the jump.

1.)The banjo bolt on the oil pan gets removed. Replace it with another oil pan drain bolt plug for the 4AG, the old banjo threads and the oil drain bolt are the same thread pitch. So the old banjo on the pan gets plugged up.

2.)On the OEM sandwich plate there are two bolts, one is for the banjo and the other is for the pressure relief spring and piston. Remove the banjo bolt, replace with a Honda thread pitch oil drain plug with crush washer just like you did on the oil pan. Next remove the bolt that holds the pressure relief spring and piston. Remove the spring and piston. Re-install the bolt.

This deletes the OEM pressure bypass system for the oil cooler. If you don't remove the spring and piston all you did was add a thermostat to an OEM setup, defeats the whole purpose. You re-use that OEM sandwich plate with the internals removed and install the Mocal plate where your current oil temp adapter is.

With the Mocal plate installed and the fittings aimed towards the radiator, the top fitting of the adapter plate goes to the bottom of the oil cooler (oil in), the bottom fitting of the adapter plate goes to the top of the oil cooler (oil return to pan).

Debating over Mocal's kits, t-stat or no t-stat?
