Does the 1G starter exist in the US?
Can anybody with a Toyota microfiche see if the 1g starter interchanges with anything we got stateside? I would rather find one here than source one from japan

did a little checking on toyodiy... so far it doesn't look good... but some more information might be helpful... What transmission are you using? There appears to be different starters for different applications.... and I don't know if there is an interchange. So the more info you can give us... the better your odds.
Just so yuou know... the G engine was used in Europe as well, so depending on which application you have, you may have an additional source. I realize Europe isn't a whole lot easier then Japan... but it is another source.
