Formula Atlantic Race Shop Making Room

Postby oldeskewltoy » Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:55 pm

Do I need to say whom?

Paypal + PP fees, if local... cash always works

As always... shipping is extra.

No checks, no credit cards

I'll put the dessert up first..... :o 5 Atlantic covers :o

Image

The top 2 are newer style, they mount COPs: Silver color one is aluminum $400, the gold tone one that reads "dyno shop" is magnesium $600

The 3 along the bottom are the older style they use conventional type ignition wires. These sell for $350 each.

Now after dessert we have......???????????

some intake manifolds All of these are designed for a DCOE type carb/throttle body. $75-$100 EACH

Image

#1 and #2($80 each) on the left are bare, or mostly bare castings... the bolt holes have yet to be drilled. They are UNIQUE in the 4AGE world....
Image
As you can see, this caster thought of increasing the port speed by including a port divider in the manifold itself... Along with the divider, the casting was purposely made small so this could be ported for either largeport, or smallport use!!!

#3 and #4($80 each) above are full on race manifolds for largeport heads... you can see the raised roof of each port so the head can be ported to further raise the roof.

#5 and #6($75 each) above are also full on race manifold for largeport heads, but for non raised roof applications

#7 ($100) is a untouched smallport to DCOE intake

Happy bargain hunting... once something is sold... it is gone, so *IF* you really desire one of those cam covers... or one of the unique manifolds.... ALL for CHEAP... post up here or email me

oldeskewltoy AT yahoo.com

IF you are emailing me... PLEASE put the part you want in the subject line

Well... how about some TRD cranks!!! These are "only" $175 EACH All are damaged, but all can be repaired (at YOUR expense) OR just hung on the wall!!!!

Currently there is a guy on the east coast who has been buying these. Once repaired, they will work adequately, but RPM limits to 8000.

Some have bends, others have damaged journals, or cracks. Cost to repair are not included. You must find a shop who are capale to fix a crank

Just send me an email....

I was PMed and asked what gaskets? There are no gaskets, it goes on with sealant.

Also why the shape is the way it is.... The shape is the way it is, because the cam covers/engine were a stressed component of the chassis. Here the upper part of the chassis tub is mounted to the cam covers

Image

Also note that if you intend to use the F/A cover, you (or your machinist) will have to add 14 new holes in the head to accomodate the F/A mount style, also seen in the above photo.

No engine front covers by any chance? (you know, the one that replaces your stock oil pump)
Dry sump pump brackets for the exhaust side?

Nice to see these parts priced so aggressively. Great prices! Like Dan said, once these are gone, they're gone. The later style valve covers are now practically non-existant

Thanks Billy... Yeah... most of this stuff has been up in Arnies attic for a few years now. I was tempted to buy the magnesium new one myself...

Im interested in a front cover and sump bracket also......QRE has a brand new big port head sitting around in the shop all they did was change the rear cam caps to billet caps as they said those were the only ones that use to mess up...other then that the head is an untouched blank...

HKS use to make carb intakes like those split port ones pictured back in the day for the N2 series in japan...heres a few pics

No exhaust side dry sump mounts of ANY kind... sorry...

BUT......... there are 2 billet front covers available... :D $400 per cover!!

A few more views of the manifolds... same order 1 on left, 7 on right

Image
Image

Now... back to the crankshafts....

Of the lot of 15 in the first photo, I decided NOT to sell 11 of them for use in an engine. This is because there are impact marks on the sides of the counterweights where rods, or other internals broke, and and impacted the side of a counter weight, OR SEVERELY toasted journals. These 11 are available for sale... but they are NOT RECOMMENDED by me to be used in an engine, they DO make nice sculptures :D

The light color one (kinda left-center of the crank photo pic) is a Roush crank, when new... $8500

So the bad news is there are 11 that can't be used.... that leaves 4 that CAN be used!!!

Of the 4, two are true TRD cranks still showing the TRD logo, one is a VERY early TRD crank, no TRD logo... but it does carry a TRD scribe marking, and what is left of a number - not sure what number it is... The other 2 "TRD" cranks are very similar forgings...

ALL of these cranks show minimum journal damage, but they all are re-useable! They will all need to be machined to use oversize bearings.

its best to email me if you want anything.. remember those manifolds are cheap... under $100 each

No one has dibs... money talks......

How far over 8000??

Of the 4 cranks that can be machined down and used... 3 show some kind of TRD markings

Available is a NOS (NEW, old stock) brand new(only out of its box for the pic!) TRD crank  - $2000... that is about $1800 less then when Toyota sold it

Image

Also available.... dry sump pans... priced as marked.
Image

The dry sump pans are used, all come with a windage tray, some may need fittings - NOT supplied. The TRD pan on far right is cheaper because corner of mount part of pan is broken... this part of the pan (mount part) you would remove (have machined off) for use in anything using conventional engine mounts

If you can source one of those covers to conceal the COP wiring I'll take both the magnesium valvecover and a front engine cover.
Can you please give me a quote for shipping to the Netherlands as well?

I'll check on the COPs concealment cover when I go back tomorrow

One dry sump pan sold!

from another forum wrote:Machinable crank payment just paypalled.

received... before I ship it... would you like to save the freight cost and pick it up?? (purchaser is 100 miles from me) I could give you a 5 ¢ tour..... :)

I'll be going in tomorrow to pick up the best USED TRD labelled crank, and let the dry sump purchaser pick which pan he wants :D

I would offer the used cranks fully machined, but Loynings does not machine crankshafts. They have the equipment to polish, and balance a crank... but from their(Loynings) POV, if the crank needed turning, the client would buy a new crank.

With that said, I spoke to their "bottom end" guy, and we discussed the possibility that the rod journals COULD be cut down to 40mm and thus you could use this crank with small(early) rods...

That doesn't mean you MUST do it... BUT it is an option 8-)

EDIT:

Of the lot of 15 cranks... I managed to pull out 4 that SEEMED sales worthy..... well, after checking every journal for size, and each of the 4 cranks for cracks........

I will be selling only one :o The other 3 are either too far undersized, or cracked
