FS: 1973 Mazda RX-2 sedan

Postby Circuit Theory » Fri Feb 08, 2013 12:13 am

Hey guys I have an RX-2 sedan that I had hoped to drive and build slowly as a project but the wifey is not to happy about it.
So I am selling it.

It has a 12A Rotary engine, taken out of a 83 1st gen rx-7, and also a rear end swapped to disc brakes from a 1st gen RX-7.
It is smog exempt in California.
Odometer reads around 60k but I imagine it has gone full cycle once and is probably 160k.
The engine is strong, it has an auto tranny which I planned to swap to manual and bought the clutch and brake pedal box for the swap.

The car has some rust but nothing that is falling apart and or breaking away. I would suggest rust repair be top priority so the car can live on for another 40+ years.

Body needs some dents and dings pulled and or front fenders replaced.

The car runs and drives no problem. It is currently registered until March or May of 2013. I will need to double check.
I am currently in Japan but the Car is in Orange County California. I will be back in California at the end of February and can show the car to anyone at that time. I picked up some Capella (japanese name for RX-2) badges here in Japan, as well as some fender mirrors, interior parts, distributor parts, and a new bushing kit.

Price is $3000 with extra parts. Can be driven home, or shipped or even exported if need be (at buyers expense)

Anyhow here are some pics of it and all its glory!

Not a bad FC, however it is not what I am after. I have owned around 10 FC's over the past 16 years. Thanks for the offer but I would preferto sell the car for $.

Have you tried to sell your fc on 7club? With a turbo II break and hub swap, and an LSD I am sure you could get pretty good money for it.

Bump ! Car has just been registered again until next may.
No smog makes registration pretty easy.
