1993 Toyota Corolla 4AGE BT20V

Postby 93Rolla_KARR » Thu May 16, 2013 1:15 am

This is KARR, He needs somebody who's mechanically inclined.
Somebody who won't give up. The respect is mutual, he'll always be there for you.
It's got a bad A/T Transmission, It's been on 10 Tow trucks til date.

New Gas Tank, Alternator Belt, Front Suspension, Oil Pan** ^^^^

I'm probably going to buy a 97' Corolla or drop cash on my Mercedes Benz.

I believe they charged me $1,100 and I originally took my car to the wrong shop.

Previous shop charged me $900 and I got it all back in payments within a course of months. He still owes me $50 till date.
The previous shop asked me to sell my 6 Speed M/T N ECU so I could buy an A/T Transmission, A/T ECU.
He quoted about $2,000 just to make it stick shift. I didn't know any better at the time. He was supposed to be my friend.
He took out just about everything under my hood. Months into the swap he tells me it doesn't fit. That's when I realized "WRONG SHOP"

I towed my Corolla to Wrench-Pro where they brought it back to life. The imported A/T Transmission was bad. <--J-SPEC AUTO
My car was rewired, Custom air intake, Custom power steering, Custom down pipe, ETC. They even installed a brand new gas tank.
They've always been good about servicing my Corolla and they've never charged me for it. Oil Changes, Tune ups ETC.
I payed for the towing to Wrench-Pro Automotive, I wish I had gone to them from the very beginning. (I'd have my 6 speed)
I provided the parts, 4AGE BT20V Complete with 6 Speed @ Got-JDM $1,750 <-- It was flawless.
I payed J-Spec AUTO $750 for the A/T Transmission/ECU shipped. <--- It was completely bad. ECU was good though.

AutoUnion do you have an AE101|102? If you're local may i hop in for a drive?
My Corollas transmission acts as it should very rarely.
I'd really love to see how my BT20V will feel without it being held back.

Yes I have 95 corolla DX I'm slowly working on it, but finding time cause of a very hectic work schedule delaying the process
I eventually want to swap in a 4age 20v with a 6 speed LSD that's why I'm always lookin for othere ae100/ae101 who's done the swap and getting there feed back on it,

Lucky man I wanted a DX. I've got a base model.
Sometimes I think about selling it for $2,000 only to buy a 97 Rolla for $3, 500.
I say you go to Wrench-Pro and let them figure out what's best for your ride.
Toyota parts cost a lot especially importing, I wish I had HONDA under my hood.
