car sits extremely lower to the ground. the oil pan scraps on bumps (because its so low) but i have a spare stock one that can be welded to fit better (i was going to raise the engine up by a half an inch). rear probably needs new bearings and seals (it whines). rear has adju lateral bar and lowering springs. the rear has stock drum brakes from the tacoma (i have plate to install 4 pod pistons calipers). speedometer doesnt work (no cable), fuel gauge stopped working. hydro ebrake installed but doesnt function because when i installed the adjustable proportional valve it was placed in front of it. willwood hydrobrake and wilwood proportional valve. the brakes feel soft probably because its a gts brake booster and not a tacoma one. But they brake and lock up evenly; as you set the proportioning valve as such. the car does have a dead spot in the starter, i click it several times and has always started up. it misfires when warming up and sometimes needs to be started up again. once it is warmed up it runs good, idles fine, and drive pretty good. its got heat and radio. gts interior because its a real gts but it has seen better days.
I had the nitrous system hooked up. awhile ago the throttle position sensor wire (5v) came undone from the nitrous system and grounded. the previous owner replaced the 15 amp fuse w a 30amp fuse. it ended up burning up the fuse block. i replaced the fuse block and it works pretty good. i say pretty good because it USE to have no problems idleing (or misfiring) when cold. it also backfires some when decelerating in gear. and the fuel gauge stopped working. all that happened after the fuse thing. i daily drove it for several month from aspen hill to Fredrick. it does have some rust and the paint isnt the best(see pics).
It as good car. I just have two other ae86'es that id rather work on. I was going to abandon my sr20 swap on my other ae86. I thought this one would be good enough to drift on. i took it to driftnirvana once... the 2rz just isnt my style. Its got alot of tq for an ae, but id prefer something more rev happy. It is a good cheap starting point for someone who wants to get into it. Im willing to let it go for 3.5k if i get to keep the nitrous kit. I did work on it alot since the last owner had it, I just lost alot of interest after that event. the nitrous give it enough power to go around "big ben" at summit. im sure its a fairly easy fix. if it doesnt sell ill just fix it this summer and daily it again. im not in a rush to sell, but id rather not let it sit there....seeing how i already have 2 other one.... low baller will be ignored. no trades. i just need cash to finish my other ae86'es. 22x,xxx miles on it, but odometer doesnt work. Does not come w momo steering wheel, u get this autozone garet one. email me, DONT PM me. i never get those pm's. dkpbws2001@yahoo.com
