The Good
1. I'm the third owner, and the second owner was my father in law. He bought the car in 1996. It has always been a CA car.
2. Clean title.
3. This car is bone stock except for the roof vent installed by the original owner (I still have the care booklet for that)
4. Everything works - A/C is cold, heat is hot, power steering is powerful, and the TVIS is, uh, TVIS-ey.
5. Starts and runs reliably and well. Good compression on all cylinders. Still gets about 27-28 mpg City/Hwy combined.
6. Newish tires, brakes, and clutch (within 25k miles or so).
7. New windshield.
8. Will pass CA smog.
9. Babied by me. TPS is dialed. Engine flushed and Mobile 1 used. Timing is set and checked regularly. Throttle body and ICSV were pulled and cleaned recently.
The Bad
1. 318k original miles on the original power train. It's starting to burn a little oil (1qt. / 1,000 miles), so you need to keep an eye on it.
2. Torn inner left CV boot. This happened recently (within last 1,000 miles).
3. Motor mounts are starting to go, allowing a little more movement than acceptable. Not a problem (yet).
4. Bondo that was never painted on right rear panel. Otherwise paint is all original.
5. Cracked front left turn signal plastic.
The Ugly
All of the accumulated wear and tear on a car that has been driven daily since the Reagan administration, Including several deep crevasses in the dashboard.
This is a great daily driver. I'm only getting rid of it because we got a cream puff xD for low-maintenance reliability for the next 25 years. Contact me via email jannyvf(at)gmail.com
