WTB: 4ac/GTS swap

Postby mightydalton » Thu Jan 14, 2016 5:03 pm

Hey guys new to the forum. I have a 1985 SR5 auto that is in need of some help. My name's Dalton and I'm in NY.

Have had my sr5 going on 8 months now. Unfortunately my oil gauge wasn't working properly and displayeD the wrong information and I thought I'd spun the bearings on my 4ac. I put on new ones the other day but it wasn't the problem. So now I'm stuck with this 4ac, and I'm ready to either get a new 4ac and throw it in, or convert to manual and start the swap to GTS. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

How many miles on the car and Is it your daily driver?

If its just your weekend car, rock it till you pop it and keep that 4ac alive, why not?

its only got 40k I'm pretty sad about it...

it was my daily driver but we have other cars I can use. I drove it a little this week to just see what was up.
it drives okay, but I'd rather not push it.

Aw man with only 40k on it id fix the 4ac up. Drive it while you acquire the stuff for a 4ag swap.
