Toyota Part #83320-80039. Does anyone know if there is a drop in replacement? I know I can get part #83320-19875 but is it the same? I think the second sending unit is out of the FX. Any help would be appreciated. -Joe

PLEASE HELP! I have found two different options for a fuel sending unit that they are claiming will fit in the 1986 ae86. The one I mentioned above and now toyota part number 83320-19715. I dont want to wast 140+ dollars on the wrong part. Anyone have any experience with this. I have searched for weeks to try and figure this out. Thank you.

i got the gts tank from rockauto but no luck scoring any info on the sender unit

Kouki and Zenki are different. 19715 is for Zenki I am told.

*Flame Suit On* I am bumping a thread several years old because I wanted this to be documented.

Part number : 83320-19875 is physically different from the 86 unit. Its shorter, and wont report the correct fuel level. It will bolt in, and connect directly to the harness but the fuel level will be wrong, Dont make my mistake.

The correct part numbers are...

83320-19715 (08/1983 - 01/1985)
83320-19885 (02/1985 - 07/1985)
83320-80039 (08/1985 - 06/1987)

As of this writing, all appear to be discontinued so good hunting.

You can still get them from Japan on Ebay it looks like. What is the difference between zenki and kouki fuel senders? I think the tanks are identical, is the harness different?

I have a 1986 GTS, I ordered and received from Japan 83320-19715 (08/1983 - 01/1985). The bolt pattern and design of the unit are the same, as is the harness connector. I can't spot any changes between fuel sender units with the ones I have.

Right, I also ordered a new fuel sender from Japan and it plugged right in with no issues. I'm not so sure there is a difference...
