Hi all, I need a map sensor for a 4age red/black top ae/92 87 to 89 model .This is marked TVIS in black on the intake and is bolted on the front of the intake.
This is fitted in my Microlight Aircraft so don't know what model car it came from. I suspect it was a Sprinter.
Does anyone have one or perhaps where I should look.

In case Alby doesn't know, AE92 Corollas with MAP sensors would be '90-'92. '88-'89 FWD Corollas were carb'd instead of fuel injected. Except All-Tracs...

What country are you in? I'm guessing not USA since you said "Sprinter."

No I'm not from the USA, I'm from NZ. The information I have been given is--1988, Corolla, Levin, GTV, 0099665 Frame-AE92-ACMXF, Eng-1230404, ECU 89661-12181
This engine is now fitted to my 1918 German Albatros replica aircraft.
Hope this helps.

OK. Going by that ECU part number, backtracking it to a Japanese Corolla, I got this part number for a MAP sensor:
89420-12010

Which gives a list of other cars that have that same MAP sensor. Incidentally it's the same MAP sensor as the one in my All-Trac wagon (but it's not for sale, sorry ;)).

You have a pretty good selection from Japanese Corollas/Sprinters that use that MAP sensor. I don't know how common they are in NZ though. From what I understand, you guys get a lot of imported cars from Japan? Lucky... :D

I had to look up that plane -- nice! Interesting to think that there's a replica WWI aircraft being powered by our beloved 4A-GE  Could you post some pics of that engine in the plane?

Thanks for the info. Now suspect that my problem is in another area and will probably put in a link ECU. Will put some photos in POSTREPLY and see if it works! If you have a look at

No problem... I've heard of people using the 4A-GE to power a Lotus car, but haven't heard of it being used to power a plane (even though it's a microlight)!

Here's that link for anyone else interested:

Very cool project!
