WTB AE86 dash brackets

Postby The Bloody Panda » Wed Nov 06, 2013 11:56 am

I'm looking for a set of those metal brackets that run from the center of the dash to the transmission tunnel. The plastic pieces that house the climate control, ash tray, and stereo mount up to the brackets I'm talking about.

I have the tall metal brackets $45 shipped.

That was fast. Do you happen to have a spare hatch release cable too? I can't pop my Seibon hatch without crawling back there and doing it by hand.

I have a coupe trunk/gas door release. But I don't know if they are the same.

Dang, they're not. At least, they have different part numbers. I'll take you up on the dash brackets if I can't find a better deal. Your price isn't ridiculous or anything, I'm just kind of broke right now.

No worries. I'm not trying to charge a lot. But the shipping and paypal stuff is what kills most deals

How much would you do both the coupe trunk release and the dash brackets for?

I'm going to call Toyota and see if they have any additional info on what the difference is between the two parts for the hatch/trunk release. If it's just length I'm going to take you up on your offer. I can only assume that the ends on both cables are the same if the length is different.

I'm trying to find out what the difference is still between the hatch and trunk release cables since I definitely want to get both that and the dash brackets at the same time to save on shipping.

I can't remember the guy's name who is the AE86 specialist over at Cabe Toyota but he's on vacation until Tuesday. So if I can find out anything about the difference between the hatch and trunk release cables it won't be until then. It's just as well because it looks like I might be missing some other brackets for mounting the center console and I want to try to get everything needed in one go. I'm going to find out what I need this weekend and buy the brackets off one of you guys next week. I'm thinking so long as the trunk release cable has a tiny metal ball at one end and a tiny metal cylinder at the other it should work. If anyone can confirm that for me please do.
