There are actives mods, but it appears there are no active admins. It looks
like this forum has been abandoned and left to shrivel and die as it gets more
and more fcuked up. There was even one poster who offered to try and help
fix things, but he did not even get the courtesy of a reply... go figure

So here we are one month down the track and nothing fixed

I guess these forums will become like the Mary Celeste... drifting aimlessly
without crew or direction on the ocean of the internet. Shame really, as Club4AG
was once the flagship of all AE86/4AGE sites... repository of a vast amount of tech
and practical information... source of inspiration for generations of enthusiasts.

Soon it will be derelict and forgotten place, visited only by the ghosts of the old
Club4AG... another victim of facebook. Now lets all join hands and sing a few
choruses of Kumbaya as the sun goes down on our old friend

Is anyone else having problems with searching and duplicate posts b/c they get the prompt "The specified search backend doesn't exist"? It looks like it could actually be an easy fix for an administrator. I rarely visit this site even though I have 3 AE's b/c I'm worried about getting flamed for posting material that already exists but the search doesn't work for me. So frustrating!

"In my "includes" folder, the "search" folder was missing. I guess I had accidently deleted it at some point. I noticed it when I tried to upgrade from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5; it said there was some missing files. At the end, I downloaded PHPBB again & re-upped the "search" folder and ta-da!"

The site is completely broken, almost everything you do on it gives the error message "The specified search backend doesn’t exist." I cant even use the search function which basically makes this site pointless for getting info on things.

Is there a way to add email noitcation for posts or pm replys?? Lol back in the day it used to work

Not necessarily a problem, per se, but I could have sworn the avatars used to be to the left of the posts. Currently they're to the right of the posts. Is there a way to change the avatar location? I didn't see anything in the control panel.
