STOLEN: My 1991 Nissan 240sx (Vertex-USA)

Postby ryceboy_124 » Thu Mar 13, 2014 1:09 pm

Some of you may or may not know me but my 1991 240sx was recently stolen over the past weekend (between March 6-10, 2014) from the Chula Vista/San Diego area. I am hoping that some of you may know some info or maybe have spotted it around town or in your neck of the woods? Last update I received was that it was spotted on 03/11/2013 on the 710 heading towards Compton and another said they saw it a few days ago in Mira Mesa. I would like to recover my vehicle in 1-piece but maybe that's wishful thinking. If you see the car or see parts for sale...please let me know ASAP and also notify Law Enforcement and provide them with Chula Vista PD Case# 1403339

This is what my car looked like when stolen:

-Front of vehicle looks to need a wetsand (orange peel is visible)
-Doors were re-clear coated so you a can see orange peel and when the clear coat did not get sprayed under the door moldings
-Etc.

As you can see...I know my car very well and would like it back in one piece if at all possible. Thanks in advance for your help. I am also offering cash or car parts reward for reliable tips and/or leads that lead to the recovery of the vehicle, car parts, and/or arrest of these bastards! If they're silly enough to be driving it there may be hope. (assuming the spots weren't for the wrong car)

Sorry to hear about it. Hope you had additional coverage on your insurance for all the parts. :(

Hey all...car was recovered last Friday stripped of some goodies but not all. I'd say it's about 65-75% complete. There is hope...

 Out here they won't even bother fingerprinting the car if it doesn't wind up at a crime scene.

Hopefully insurance coverage + lack of wiring/internal damage from the parts spree/joy ride.

Hope your process goes more smoothly than my last encounter with USAA - Took over 3 months to settle a totaled '67 and required the involvement of the state insurance administration.

They took finger printings from some of the evidence but no arrests have been made. Sucks!
