Hey, everyone. Just wanted to ask what kind of fluids (gas, engine oil, transmission oil, etc.) you use in your cars.

Okay here is what I use:

Engine oil: Castrol GTX conventional oil (10W-40)
Engine coolant: Toyota red coolant mixed with distilled water 50/50 (because it matches the color of my car )
Transmission oil: Redline MT-90 (75W-90 GL-4)
Differential oil: Cusco LSD oil (80W-90, it's expensive but I have a Cusco LSD so... I figure might as well)

Did I miss anything? Oh, I get gas at the Fastrac down the road... just 87 octane, and I use Rain-X all season washer fluid.

Oh also, a good point by Zissou. I use the car just for normal driving (although not really a daily driver, my motorcycle is my daily). I probably put ~1000 miles on it in a year?

I feel like mentioning how you use your car would be worthwhile to mention. A car that is getting tracked every other weekend should be using something other than a car that gets driven to a car show every three months.

Are you running a 16v or 20v? I'm thinking of running motul when I finish my swap. I'm just concerned about proper operation of the vvt.

Miata people seem to really like running it.
