New member not ae86 but kp61
Hey guys I just bought a kp61 and looking for some help. There isn't really a kp forum out there. Anyone also own a kp in this forum?

Cool thanks. I wish I had an 86 lol. I was wondering what's the most efficient way in terms of money and performance to lower the car? I've looked into technotoytunning and it seems like I only have one option which will run me about $1500. Does anyone else have any info on this? It's so hard to find info on this car lol. Also I'm missing the fender orange light assembly and was wondering where I can buy the part.

Got any pics ? Think I'm the only other active member with a KP?
I was running cut springs for a while then bought some GAZ rear coilovers and had the fronts modified (sleeved) for coilovers

Buy the roll centre adjusters from techno TT, then chop a coil off and try it, can remember when I cut mine.
Parts are incredibly hard to find in the UK, best bet is just to search eBay but worldwide, that's what I do, quite a few parts on donedeal.ie

I see. Do I need the roll center adjusted to lower the car when cutting the springs? I think eventually I will go to the full suspension coilover setup when the budget allows it.
Checking out my wheel width choices. Is 13x7 or 14x7 gonna be an issue to fit?

Looks EXACTLY like my friends KP61! That part is also kinda funny, because his was replaced with a reflector instead of an actual light (accident apparently). Unfortunately I cannot help you find a replacement, because if I could....my friend would also have his replaced.
KP's are sick man. Don't be jelly of the 86 crowd. Drop a 4AG/T50/T series rear-end in that thing and be the faster envy on all us!

Fwiw I test fitted my 14x6.5 +5 dunlops on my friends KP and they poked -sllliiightly- both rear and front. My 14x6.5 +10 Cross-fever's were a better fit for the front and rear was almost perfect. You could do 7's on the factory flares without modification with a pretty positive offset. But if you're lowering it, it looked to me that 6.5 rims with a near +/- 12 offset were pretty much as far as the factory flares would allow.
His was factory ride height. Tires were 185/60/14

Cool thanks for the info! I actually found the part! If your friend is still looking its on rockauto.com my part should be coming this week so I will get back to you on fitment.
Do you happen to have photos of the wheel fit? I really like the look of the hayashi and found some rota shakotan replicas but they are 15x7. Wheel choices can be so difficult lol.
