OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
How time flies! A lot has changed since the old days and I hope some of the original members are still around and doing well. Im surprised my log in still worked.
If I remember correctly, I believe I joined around 1998 or so. I left the AE86 scene around 2006. Sold it to some guy in SF who spent quite some time trying to flip it. He sold it to someone who ended up totaling it and it was parted out somewhere in the Sacramento area. I'm sure some of its parts has been spread out through the community. My old TE27 I believe is somewhere in Southern California.
As for me, I started a new career, purchased a home, started a family and put the car scene on hold for a little while.
13 years later, I'm starting to get back into the car scene.
it would be great to see some old school members chime in and share how they are doing now.
I now drive a ridgeline for those home depot and lowe's runs, an Odyssey for the family outings.
On the weekends, I drive two S14's, a 98 GSR, an 02' Civic SI (EP3) with Hondata reflash and an 04 TSX A-Spec 6spd with Hondata Reflash.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2019!

It's always nice to "see" people come "home"............
By 2006, I had already moved from the Poconos(Pa), to Portland... well I'm still here.
I'm also doing headwork, and engine overhaul these days - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=300

Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
Guess I'd be considered an OG member as well.
Joined Club4ag before I had internet access at home (thank you AOL free trial disc!) so easily in the late 90s. I still recall the home page with a picture of a rally ae86 or aw11 catching some air, lol. Created my account from the performance shop i used to work at. I lost my original account info but i was only a lurker at the time. Created this username in the early 2000s.
Stopped being an "active" member around 2007 when i finished earning a degree in mechanical engineering. My car was on non-op for 5+ years but got it back on the road 2 years ago and fell in love with it all over again.
Now I plan to start making cool custom parts for my car. I have a few cool ideas which should definitely turn some heads once i actually get around to making them...
I still talk to a few OG members who live in my area but most have moved on... also, i recently went to a meet which the owner of TecArts attended. I ran into a few old school members there. Good to finally put faces to names after 10 years but i digress...

Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
I lurked hardcore when I got my first 86 back in 2004-2005 just reading all the good info here etc, but didn’t become a member until 2013...Even though I’m on my 4th 86, that makes me a baby on here lol
Progress. Not perfection.
Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
I thought only the oldies were left in these forums.
My first was a stock Corolla back in 2000:
Then modded:
After going through 4 other Corollas, I've been with my latest and last:

Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
I don't make it around very much any more. Still have an AE71, still need to work on it, but life is life. Daily driving a TSX wagon with a 5th Gen 4Runner as the family roadpig; crushing parking lot medians at the mall like a beast. I poke around every so often to try to get the juices flowing again, but it's just not 1999 anymore. Too many toys, too many projects, and not enough time.
My car is slow.

Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
Some old names here for sure.
I left the Japanese scene all together back in like 07ish. Went Euro. Had a bunch of old BMWs (mostly E30s/E34s)
Then started working at a TDI parts specialist. Been driving diesels ever since. Had a couple Powerstrokes. Current ride is an 11 Golf TDI 2 door.
Oh and I found motorcycles. I collect/restore/sell old Japanese bikes. CBRs, GSXRs, ZX7s.
Currently own a house, 6 motorcycles and three Golfs.

LOL..."paradox" confirmed.
I don't think I would consider myself as TRUE OG but, I do remember all those conversation between K_C and other members...
I also remember he finally got his own white panda and the conversation slowy faded...!?
...good old days when I had my own AE86...missing SoCal life very much!

Youre old skool enough to be an OG for sure.
Yeah, that dude was king of meaninglessness posts. I want to say he had over 1000 before he even owned a Corolla of his own, which is why losts of people gave him $#!+.
Gotta give him credit for not giving up. I also dont recall him complaining about prices or availability...I dunno, if he resurfaces with his car and it doesn't have an LS1, SR20, S2k, 1UZ, etc., i might be okay with him being considered OG (especially after all the crap most peeps gave).

Hello OG Club4AG members.
It's been a long time since I've been to this forum. I stopped coming here around mid-2015 not because I didn't like it. Just had other things going on. I've been a member since 2004 and was also once a Moderator. I've been very active in the scene around 2005 to 2013. Have posted several things including the Takumi Project and Chino Hills meets. Those were my golden days with some members here.
I'm still in the AE86 scene as I still have my hatch. In addition to my hatch I also have my 2003 Toyota 4 Runner and 2016 Toyota Sienna SE. I'm now a family man with a 3 year old daughter. Life is now different for me as my priority is my family and work. I'm glad to see some of the familiar ID names from the past. It's good to hear that everyone is doing well.

Don't remember when I actually joined, but probably 2007. Funny thing, when
your main interest is an AE86, time pretty much stands still... like I am still
reading posts asking the same questions I was reading back in 2008

Sounds like what happened to me lol.
I also have a beautiful three year old daughter, she loves getting inside 86 lol
And I, too also disappeared from the 86 scene around the same as you did.
I am now a family man as well, with bigger, more important priorities in life.
And, I still have my AE86. Thanks GOD!
I am saddened what happened here in the forums, how it's pretty much dead.
But, I think as long as we are here and posting stuff no and then, hopefully it'll be revitalized as it was before.
I'm not as OG as most of you are but, I loved this place then, and I always find myself lurking here.
Now that I have more time to work on my 86, I am slowly starting to look for parts again.
Club4ag Facebook, 86 nights, Oldschool Toyota parts pages on FB helps, but it will not replace the connections I had with fellas here that I had in the past.

I've always wondered whatever happened to KC...
then I stumbled on an old zilvia forums and there
I saw his White Panda GTS for sale post....and then I read the whole thread....and...HOLY CRAP!
Now I understand what happened to him.
Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
A lot of names I still recognize. Haven't been on this board for years, but I'm glad to see it's still going. The car is STILL not done, and it's STILL a work in progress. So then, who remembers my old SN 4AG ROLA?

I still have my 1985 GT-S that I bought around 2000-2001.
Same name as the old board, shame that so much info was lost.
I am thinking of digging the AE out of the barn after 15+ years of sitting. I hope it still looks decent. Then I think a bit of a resto-mod is in order for it.

Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
I guess I'm part of the club. Had 5 ae86s up til...2004? 2005? Sold all but one off for domesticated life. Been hanging onto the one chassis since and kid is finally into cars so we're going to try and revive it. I don't even remember me old forum name. Created this account when the site switched over but really haven't done anything with it since....just like the car.
***sigh*** who knew the ae86 was going to blow up like it did?! The aftermarket parts selection is nicer now but spare parts were so cheap and easy to come by, now look at it!
I blame Moto, lol.

Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
In my area (Michigan) even 20 years ago, there were not many AE86-92's around so parts were never easy for me to find locally. lol
Re: OG Club4AG members. Where are they now?
Same here. I'm just a state over in WI but got lucky and found 3 of my 5 pretty local. Went to IN to pick up my summer DD coupe and brought a rust free chassis from CA. I lost two to rust and they became parts cars. Also had a FX16 GTS which seems even rarer than the 86 but sold that to make room for my third 86 which got turned into a beat up drift learning car.
