morning everyone,

ive been trying to think of a good paint color/scheme to have done to my trueno coupe. im getting it professionally paint here soon and i dont want to follow with panda scheme because its super played out. i was thinking all one color, keep the handles and other small stuff black and call it a day. maybe like all flat black or graphite gray. what do you guys think? throw me some ideas or post up your fav ae86 paint job. hopefully this will help others looking for something different when it comes to painting their car. thanks!

black and gold two tone. thats always a good match or black with gold decals like black limited.

yea its wild right? haha thats what im using for my valve cover and intake plenum only it'll be blue/black/chrome instead of red/black/white. Someone a long time ago did a paintjob on their 86 with a royal blue and a bright neon green like that, it was pretty nice actually

Me too. I just happened to search for the color on an ae86 when this thread popped up. I love Sepang Bronze on the M5 and I have seen it on other cars and they all look great wearing that color.

I like this one but of course i do because its mine. Im looking to repaint also but Im having a hard time figuring out exactly what i want. Sorry for the crappy quality

I am a fan of them all... I know that the Black/silver reverse panda is nice. There is also a navy blue/silver variant of it that is pretty darn nice. If I choose it will be one or the two. decisions decisions

i really like the paint scheme on Philip tan's 86. i saw a red one kinda the same way...now i have to decide a color to use as the body. what you think? red? white? graphite gary? midnight purple?!

They are both really nice, i'm just trying to be patient since I know ill have to have it forever lol

yea i know what you mean. i find myself going with one color. then switching to the other...ill figure it out one of these days haha

Ya, im the guy who always picks three things on the menu and blurts one out when its my turn to order... I want this decision a little more planned out.

I am the process of redoing the color of my car as well. This time I will go the vinyl wrap route since I have some friends who do it. I have always felt that when it comes to old classics like the AE86, I tend to stick to the basic colors. Getting too crazy with the new candy or metallic or whatever, I feel like ill get bored of it. Im debating on all black or doing red body and black bumpers...anyways good luck!

Black bumpers is straight SR5 trim right there. Whatever color I paint my car, it'll keep black bumpers cuz it's an SR5, GTS's get painted bumpers. :p

ive decided to go with the paint scheme Philip Tan did but make it red. ima use the new Mount Fuji Red from the FT86's. the new 86 color on the old 86, i think it will be a cool concept. =]

Makes for a cool story to people who dont know our cars too.

Liked your paint job specially the red one is looking fabulous it seems very delicious. I wanna get that type of paint job i would be very delighted after having that.It seems delicious and my family members would also like that.
