I personally use the stock 4.33 but Longrain uses the 4.77 and it really livens up the 4ag, we both drift. I'm at the top of 2nd while he's able to use 3rd and carry a little more speed... due to him having a better rpm band, 4agze + 4.77 is a no lose combo........but then again it really depends on what track you're on

i havent changed my r&p but i do run smaller tires that is equivelant to running 4.5 r&p (tire size is 185/55/14). it is quicker and it makes the car feel lighter while accelerating. makes the car more fun and better throttle responce. i have only used this on public roads as a dd tho

I've used a 4.7 final in all my corollas. It's a night and day difference. Highly recommend it. Freeway driving blows though so have a good mixtape selection on hand because you will make new friends with the truckers in the slow lane. MFactory made an longer 5th gear that I was selling at one point that allowed you to use the 4.7 and cruise at a lower rpm on the freeway.
I've used both TRD and Weir Performance ring and pinions. I've had no problems with either and I've setup probably about 20+ diffs now. I'm convinced that people that complain about Weir ring and pinions being warped are incorrectly installing/rebuilding the rear end. Any dirt between the mating surfaces or incorrect torque procedures wil result in the same effect of a warped ring gear. When you install the 4.7 final, I strongly recommend you buy the Weir solid pinion spacer.

I've got the oem Toyota 4.7 gear and weir solid pinion spacer with 195/50 tires. Weir set it up and there's no whining or howling, etc.
It's pretty intense and really wakes up the 4ag. Things to to note on a street car:
- 4300 rpm @ 65 mph (you're always +400 rpm compared to stock gear and tires)
- shorter time between gear changes
- usually shifting @ 4k rpm
- 1st gear is almost useless
