Ignore the mess, I just got it with even more junk than that. 20th GTSR5 and figured why bother finding a perfect dash in a specific color? =D
I didn't use the IMG tag cause it distorted and cut off the pic.

Re: Thoughts?
Sorry, but with all due respect, That doesn't look that great, But if you like it, more power to you. Plus that dash reflecting off the windshield is going to annoy the crap outta you eventually.
Re: Thoughts?
If you're going to restore the car, then go ahead!! Don't worry about these little things or our thoughts. Must....... bring..... them .......back ...... to ................life!

Re: Thoughts?
I was going to do the same thing, but with a darker and smaller pattern, deleting the vent and clock holes. I was planning on using fiberglass resin to soak into the fabric and make it solid, then clearcoat and wetsand it smooth. How does it look on the side of the gauge cluster? That's the only iffy angle.

Re: Thoughts?
The car was doomed, the old dash was beyond fixable and this dash was destine for the garbage bin.
It was all out of pure boredom and the irritating task to find a minty fresh dash lol
It's missing a lot of stuff, yes, this I'm totally aware of, but a lot of it is there! It's just a shell right now and is going to be brought back to life because OG members know who I am ^_^

This is what <3 does. Keep in mind I am hardcore drivetrain biased and lean more towards RWD than FWD, especially automatic, but I'll let you guys decide =D

Re: Thoughts?
You know what... That would look great in Christmas. You could call it the AE86 sleigh powered by blue nose reindeer.
Re: Thoughts?
hahahah right!
oh man looks like photoshop distort on the right side curve of the dash pad LOL photoshop in real life! Stretchy material win? Highly doubtful, but hey I gave it a shot! Not like a dash can't be taken out and replaced in 20 minutes lol

I fibered up a badly damaged dash a few years ago. It was turning out really good, but got tossed out while we were changing houses.
Re: Thoughts?
I think I'll eventually get around to it. I want to fill in the vents and clock hole, smooth it out.

I'm all for making something uniquely "yours" espeially when bringing a dead car back to life, the fact that its going back on the road is a plus, adding your flavor is the fun part!
Re: Thoughts?
yea dude that's what I'm saying. The dash I got with the car is completely hosed. Savable, but found this one more intact than the other one.
Also saved my old seats, too! I forget who said you can't use hatch back seats in a coupe, but I pulled it off in my kouki coupe!
