86-GTS in CT

Postby DanGTS1986$ » Tue Nov 01, 2022 3:26 pm

Good day guys , I been reading at time and keeping up with some conversation on GTS projects. My hat is off to all the guys that see it through.
I am located in CT and I have a 86 GTS and would like to know what is the ball park price on these car. What are the main features for a sale price to be high or low. At this point? I am looking to see if restoring is a option. Thanks in advance

Howdy,
Just throwing my thoughts out, there are very few for sale and used car prices are wild for all cars so everyone may have a different price range in their head right now, but,

Lets say take the Bring A Trailer price range and cut it in half. Hatchback GT-S;
- original and really well maintained would then be $20,000 USD
- poor and high miles would then be $7,000 USD

Coupe GT-S;
- original and really well maintained would then be $14,000 USD
- poor and high miles would be $4,500 USD

Add the recent market crashing, the actual sale price may be lower.

(I'm still grateful for these prices... Japan and ireland = $$$$$!

Corey, Thanks for your input , its highly appreciated.

If I can send you pictures can you help me in pricing it ? Just incase I decide to put it out there. I had a few guys throughout the years look at it just because it was out on the yard. I was not selling it at the time, so I did not really pay any attention to their comments / input.
My kids out of the military and grandkids are home, reality sunk in.

But if you don't mind let me share a little. I am the 3rd owner , it originally came from down south according to my friend whom was the second owner.
Its all original the only 2 things that are not , steering wheel is wood and the rims.
Never been painted, it has several small sections with primer due to my friend intent to paint it back then, interior is decent from what I can tell. No accidents , engine is original, its a LSD rear end, no modification to the body or engine.
It still has the snorkel and the metal air cleaner container which is round.
It been seating in my garage for maybe 10 year or more. I do take it out and wash it , run it for a while. Its a blue hatchback
Thanks again Corey
