So I hosted a tech day BBQ for the local 86 guys today. It was a great turnout. Got my coilovers in.

And I had these laying around. Thought it'd be a nice touch. I'll take nicer pictures tomorrow morning in real lighting.

Nice progress man! How do you like them BC coilovers?

The BC Coilovers definitely beat the Espelir/Tokico suspension I had on there previously. Much stiffer. It's point and shoot.

New day, new parts:

This came in:
Image

and shortly after, this:
Image

So apparently, my panhard bar fell off sometime when I first got the car. I've been driving around with no panhard bar for the past few months :o
That explains all the rear end chatter! I wasted no time in installing it.

Image
Image

Wow. Just... Wow wow wow.

It seems that "wow" is the usual words that come out after driving this thing. I keep forgetting how fast this is. And now, with a stiff suspension and a solid rear end, this really has become an amazing machine. It's so solid. You point the front end in a direction and it just lasers in and rockets off. God that panhard bar makes such a difference.

I'm finally able to control it the way I drove the 986... Maybe even better... And a WHOLE lot faster!

What type of carbon hatch is that and how do you like the fitment? How are you keeping it up when you open it? I'm contemplating getting one but I'm not sure if I think it's worth the money... Great build BTW!

Have you mounted the seat yet? How well does the reclining seat hold you in place?

Hey Crono0001 do you know of a DIY for the F20 swap into a Corolla. I've read through your thread but I'm looking to get more information on the steps and things that I would need. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW I have a 1980 4DR corolla idk if that matters

Hello,
I had Suspicious Garage do the swap. You can contact them.

Love the racing seat on the driver's side only. Reminds me of Takumi's ae86 in Initial D!

So I had an appraisal earlier this month for insurance purposes.

I'd like to see how you end up setting up a functional rear brake cable for those calipers. I have the same ones and that's a major problem for me.

Carbon hatch fits ok. Not great, but it looks fine after a lot of tweaking. My hydraulics from stock hatch were used. Holds it fine.

Speaking of carbon, carbon galore:

Nice! Only thing it needs is a paint job and some legit wheels!

All it needs now is fenders... possibly flares.
Once I get those carbon parts and my other car back, I can paint.

After I get flares I can measure offset. These wheels will be reserved for drift-duty.

Okay okay. Without further ado.

Big brake kit.

New rear LSD from Toyota 4 Runner. I have a rock climbing rear end now haha.

Image

RCG decided to fireproof my clutch line (long story short, misdiagnosis). I joke and say I clutch kick so hard, my lines catch fire.

Image
Image

And of course, the whole front end is now carbon.

Paint very soon.

Racing Vids!

Some of them have me spinning out in the rain!

My 2nd session (my best/fastest one before the rain, sadly), the GoPro was set to take images instead of a video. I will combine all those images into a moving picture and then post that at a later date.

My second, fastest, most exciting session of the day! Tons of overtakes and 2 spinouts! Sadly, GoPro was set to take a slideshow instead of a video, so I had to piece it together. Enjoy the complimentary Initial D Music.
