I've searched the forums and looked at the most of the threads about the rear axle.
Seems like everyone's fill plug was a bolt.
Mine is some sort of plug bolt thing that fits a 1/2 ratchet.
Well, it was a bitch to break it loose, and now that I have it keeps spinning and won't come off.
Did I miss something or is something totally wrong?
Rear Axle Fill Plug\Bolt
Re: Rear Axle Fill Plug\Bolt
Looks like the PO welded a socket to the bolt and rigged the bolt on there.
I finally got it out with some tapping of a hammer and there's no threads on the bolt.
now I have a bigger dilemma.
And all I wanted to do was change the diff oil.

Re: Rear Axle Fill Plug\Bolt
Here's my ghetto fix to this dilemma.
I bought a M18-1.5 plug at auto zone.
Borrowed a 18mm spark plug tap from a friend.
Tapped the hole.
The kinda jerry tapped it with the plug.
Come on and off perfect now.
