Can I swap headliners between coupe and hatch?

Postby im2bad4ya » Mon Nov 09, 2015 6:40 pm

I just bought a headliner form a guy who said it was for a coupe (mine has sunroof which I don't know if it makes a difference). The two tabs up front line up but the ones in the back don't. Can I still use this headliner? I ask because I'm also missing the interior trim to hold the headliner up so I don't know if I'll run into issues when I get that and install it.

You could put a couple self tapping screws through. But coupe & hatch are different... as is sunroof/non

My car is a coupe w/sunroof and I believe the headliner I bought is from a hatch but also w/sunroof. The front tabs match up but the back ones are off. I don't know how the fitment will be because I bought my car without the interior and I'm trying to piece it together, so I don't know if the headliner trim will hold up the headliner or if it will match. But the sunroof switches and dome light match up.

I've never tried swapping them, but the coupe has a longer roof; therefore, the headliner also might be longer. It might be possible to modify it to work though.
