Potential Power Brake Booster Fitment Issues

Postby moondogg » Wed Dec 30, 2015 4:38 pm

Hi, everyone. I just sold a practically new power brake booster that was purchased earlier this year and stored securely in my garage. Got sidelined with my project with work/school so I posted the power brake booster along with some other parts for sale in my ebay store and it sold to a club4ag member in Puerto Rico in which I packaged and shipped securely. He has now received it and says that he can't get it to fit in his ae86 1985 Toyota Corolla which ironically is the same ae86 corolla year model that I own and the new power brake booster that I sold to him was identical to my old core power brake booster. The member in Puerto Rico wants a refund because he says that its completely different and I guess return the brake booster to me all the way here stateside in Florida but I definitely do not trust that since he has already attempted an install. If something was different it seems that he should have noticed that right away and not attempted an installation so I told him that I have sold many ae86 items here in parts and accessories on the forum in which I have excellent feedback without hardly any issues or complaints from members since I have been a member for a few years now. I have owned my ae86 corolla since 1995( almost 21 years) so I am not a rookie with this car. Anyway, just wanted know if any of you guys ever had any fitment issues with installation of power brake booster because I consider myself an honest good seller but I do not want to be scammed somehow either if I decided to do a refund but likely not especially since the member bought it for $90 including shipping from my Ebay listings and is all the way in Puerto Rico. I just do not trust doing returns like this which is why I always specifically express no returns/refunds in all of my ebay listings along with clear pictures of items and detailed descriptions. All of you seasoned members incite would be appreciated. By the way my Ebay feedback is score as a seller is also 100% so just as good as the feedback I have received as seller on this forum. Below are pics of the power brake booster that I sold to club4ag member who purchased it in my ebay listings.

Hey, moondogg! The brake booster in your pictures looks identical to mine front and back that I just purchased for my 1985 toyota corolla gts. You sold me a brake master cylinder a couple of months ago here on the forum and everything fit perfectly after installing a few days ago without any problems so I can see why you would be hesitant to offer any returns on your ae86 items in ebay. You should be really careful listing and selling on Ebay especially to buyers overseas or are not stateside and be very descriptive in your listings with detailed compatibility lists. I have sold many ae86 parts on ebay as well but selling on the forums is much better without any inflated selling fees. Best of luck!
