axle wont go in diff spline

Postby 6inline » Fri Feb 19, 2016 2:29 pm

I have a pair of 25.30mm kouki axle and a brand new 1986 tomei racing lsd unit. the thing is when I try to put back the shaft in place, it feels in the splines, but it wont get more than maybe one mm inside the diff..

for those who will say I might have a zenki diff, I also have a pair of 24mm zenki shaft in hands, wich, have a huge freeplay when in place.

Another thing, my zenki axles have large bearing and the kouki axles have slim ones. Does it matter?

I tried to hit it a bit with a soft hammer but it just wont get in.
So I took out the diff and try something else but in vain.

Anyone can help me?

the diff is a tomei trax advance TD15.

believe me, I have done my homework but I cannot find anything that answer my questions.

AFAIK all GTS axles have the large (wide) bearings. Maybe you got axles
from some other model Toyota car that look much the same but don't fit ?

Try and get hold of a known Kouki GTS axle to compare.
