Red wire and black w/ red stripe wire......
Re: Red wire and black w/ red stripe wire......
If you go here... http://www.aeu86.org/technical/ae86-manuals/
And download this... AE86 Wiring Diagrams (USDM)
You will have all the wiring diagrams, and that should help you to identify
all the wires and plugs in a USDM AE86.

Re: Red wire and black w/ red stripe wire......
Thanks that helped me a lot. Got my tach and cluster working and the backup lights working now too. Wouldnt think that those backup lights would be going through the "gauge" fuse.....which was blown btw. Now I just gotta figure out that red wire and black with red stripe wire. Going to be a little bit difficult to trace even with that manual because how many red wires and black with red stripe wires are there in this car quite a few I imagine.???? If I figure it out I'll report back here. In the meantime if anyone can throw me a bone I'd appreciate it thank you.
Re: Red wire and black w/ red stripe wire......
Ok from what i can tell looking at this diagram it looks like the red wire and black with red stripe wire in question are for the front passenger side speaker. Am i reading this correctly?
It says R for red with the arrows meaning it is on a male connector going to another red wore then finally to the speaker.
The other has B-R meaning black with red stripe with the male connector going to W meaning white wire then finally to the speaker. Also the E with square around it meaning front speakers. Is this correct? Thanks.

Re: Red wire and black w/ red stripe wire......
The E in a square tells you that it is the E-type plug shown on the next page. The
arrows mean that the male half of the plug is on the short wire. If they are speaker
wires, then the other end of them should be in behind where the radio sits. If you
find the same colors there, test for continuity to be sure.
