first, the 3s swap is alot of work. you will need endless fab skills as there are no real "off the shelf" parts that drop in and fit.

that, or you can just buy my swap:

Im in the process of doing a 3rd gen swap now. Im putting it in a 87 gts coupe. I went with a r154 trans for the swap but it's a little more work then a w58. I started a build thread on drift.com but it's kind of dead over there so maybe ill move it to here. Im not very far along though, still seam welding the car.

And that's a nice looking setup daytona350z! how much do you want for that and is that motor built?

I came from MR2oc.com and have a 5sgte mr2.... I wanted to swap a 4th gen into my ae at first but after research it was not worth it at all...

there are a bunch of guys if you search u can ask about there swaps. thats what I did, and it turned me off this route.

There are a few people who have done this, but most end up swapping it out due to reliability issues with the 3s in the ae due to how it sits, or never even got it finished due to how extensive the fab work is etc. It is a ton of custom fab work, and in the long run is going to cost a few thousand dollars more then doing one of the many other options of equal or more HP. bang for your buck its not worth it to me, but if you want to be different then go ahead.

easy swaps that cost less money and wayyyyyy less fab work

MR2 4agze supercharged 140HP ish. dirt cheap

20v silver or black top 160hp ish. a grand ish

SR20det 220-250hp ish. 1-3 grand ish

is300 beams 200 hp ish. 2 grand ish

1uzfe V8 200-270hp ish. 2.5 grand ish give or take your fab skills

3gen 3sgte 245hp ish. 4-5 grand ish

these are all very rough estimates, assuming you can do a good amount of fabwork etc.
