Painting interior what to use ?
Painting interior what to use ?
? What's the best paint to use to make your interior black and that would last for yrs post ur opinion
Re: Painting interior what to use ?
iv had good results with the fusion paint for plastics and the vinyl and carpet dye for carpet and privacy cover
Re: Painting interior what to use ?
You use different paints for the metal, the plastic, and the cloth.
Presuming you mean the plastic trim? You need a "vinyl" paint or "plastic interior paint". Duplicolor makes plenty of them. You could probably also use their vinyl bumper paint, that's matte black and designed to go over plastic.
If you want it to last, you need to clean thoroughly, with paper towels and solvent. Then clean again. Then use whatever primer is recommended for the paint, and finally use the paint. Multiple light coats, just dusting it, not heavy coats. And give it plenty of time to cure, someplace warm, or with the heater keeping it warm. Too much paint and you'll change the texture, too little and it will wear off in five years, but then you can always repaint it as needed.
The "Fusion" paint (Rustoleum? Krylon?) probably is good and half the price of the Duplicolor, but Duplicolor owns the auto rattle-can business and their primers, etc. are made to work on these plastics.
After you have painted it? Be very careful about using things like ArmorAll, they can make paints release and lift. Don't use anything unless it says it is safe for painted surfaces.

Re: Painting interior what to use ?
I used everything from SEM to paint my interior
I used:
plastic cleaner
sand free (adhesion promotive since you dont want to sand plastic interior pieces)
black interior plastic paint
Before I applied sand free, I would heat up the plastic parts. This helped the paint stick a lot more. I have had keys, food, etc sitting on the paint and I havent had any of it come off.

Thanks for reply cause I used interior spray can and its peeling off already
Re: Painting interior what to use ?
If u want to do it once and do it right,Then use SEM products.
For the adhesion promotor u should use Bulldog.
Once its done u will be very happy with the results.

SEM in a spray can worked best for me. I want to lick my interior everytime I enter my car. I have blue interior and used SEM Shadow Blue.
