Hey guys. I just picked up a '87 Levin over here in Japan. Starting to get into the nitty gritty and preparing the body for paint, but starting to run into some issues. I can't figure out why the left headlight isn't fitting properly, it seems like its sticking out a bit much. The bracket that attaches from the headlight to the car doesnt look warped or damaged. It looks like the previous owner tried his best to make it align and re positioned some fasteners. Any of you guys ever have this issue? Any possible suggestions?
Even if you take some time and find pictures of original cars in good condition you'll find very minor differences in how everything lines up. It's probably due to lower build quality standards back then.
Could also be that the headlights are AE82, as I had a pair that were sold to me as AE86 that fitted just like that. Turns out they were AE82, all the eyelids fitted perfectly as well.
