Parts List: Entire Suspension. Help?

Postby nkyspdemon » Sun Sep 21, 2014 4:00 pm

Picked up a free shell last week. Free might be nice, but it was free for a reason...it is bare. No drivetrain, no suspension components at all. I've already got a 1uz, w58, an 8.8, and all winter to work, but I'm afraid I'm gonna miss something trying to buy every suspension piece...so does anyone have a full parts list and maybe sine suggestions? Anything will help, thanks ahead of time!

The exploded view diagrams from the service manual are your best bet.

In front you probably need to decide if you are going to work with the
stock suspension, or use some kind of aftermarket coilover. Because if
you use a coilover that comes with spindles, that takes care of the whole
strut assembly. Then all you need to find are some lower control arms,
brakes, steering and tension arms. Most likely you will want to upgrade
the brakes from stock GTS to something better. If you do, it will mean
you don't have to try and find GTS brakes which have mostly all gone
to SR5 upgrades.

This site used to have all of the diagrams, but it looks like they are not available anymore. :( They at least have the part numbers and descriptions of different parts: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/

1989 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer
1968 Ford F250
