AE86 Ball Joint Dust Boot

Postby InfernoAE86 » Sun Oct 19, 2014 7:13 pm

Does anyone know what size we need? My ball joints are in great shape, but I burned the boots off getting the steering knuckles off. I didn't see any on rock auto, summit racing, jegs, etc. I see universal kits at O'reillys, but I'd rather just get a set from prothane/energy. I don't have my calipers with me, so I was hoping someone knew.
Thanks!

Not sure about size. I bought 'Moog K9359 Bellows Kit' off of ebay.

That's a steering bellows. I need a ball joint dust boot.

My bad. I did a search on Moog's online catalogue. No dust seal boots for sale.

Rockauto did have the balljoints for <$5. The prothane/energy suspension looks great.

It's cool. I just don't want to press mine out since I don't have a press, and the ball joint itself is fine. I could buy a cheapy and cannibalize the boot... but I want either perfect fit rubber or close-enough polyurethane.

If you do press it out, remove the C-clip so you don't deform the control arms. I ruined my original control arms because i did not know about the C-clip(pretty sure that is the right term).
