So currently I have an Exedy Stage 1 clutch and OEM flywheel on a 16V Blue top with street cams and TRD headgasket ...almost stock.
Im taking my transmission out soon and was going to put in a lightened flywheel. Then, I figured I might as well swap the whole setup for the larger 212mm AE101 clutch flywheel setup.
Just wondering, if I get the larger 212mm clutch/ light flywheel AND upgrade to another Stage 1 clutch, will that combo be aggressive for the relatively stock motor? My other option was to just get the regular 212mm clutch/ light flywheel combo, but I wasnt sure how that would compare to my current 200mm stage 1 clutch...
I like having a mild street tune if I wanted to autocross but sometimes I do occasionally daily the car as well.
Thanks
Streetable/ daily clutch/ flywheel question
Re: Streetable/ daily clutch/ flywheel question
You will be fine. stage 1 clutch is basically an stock clutch but it is able to hold all bolt ons to the engine. The bigger surface on the clutch just adds to it handeling more.
