ive been working on a 20v BT swap. after getting the engine in and wired up we tried our first start. it didnt turn over. thinking it was the starter we tried many times push starting it. the car would run for roughly 3-5 seconds then kill itself when the clutch was pushed back in. we replaced the starter today and the starter will not turn the engine. it will just click. question is why wont the starter turn over the engine? and why is the car dying evertime the cutch is pushed back in? any help would be greatly appreciated guy. thanks in advance.

- Have you got a complete heavy wire circuit battery > starter > chassis > battery ?
- Same result if you try and crank with clutch pressed in or not pressed in ?
- Engine die if you bump start it and knock the gear lever into neutral without
using the clutch (will the engine stay running if you don't press the clutch) ?
- Got your clutch switch wired up correctly ?
- Got 12V permanently on the heavy wire starter terminal ?
