Hey guys,
So my car has a 6.38" diff in it, 3.91:1 ratio.
I like the idea of the 6.7" swap due to LSD and rear disc brakes, but I don't want to have a higher rear end ratio.
Is there a factory 6.7" or 7.5" LSD with a ~3.91:1 ratio available in the US? I know there's a super rare 6.38" LSD but it's only in Japan or something.
Thanks!

3.9 is available for 6.7" rears. Originally made for the HiAce van.
Weirperformance carries them or you could get the million dollar one from toyota.

Legends cars use a Toyota 6.7. This looks right up your alley.

Thanks for the replies
MisterJerk,
I looked up the Toyota HiAce and I don't think it was available in the USA; are you referring to the 80's "toaster" vans? http://www.toyotareference.com/van
Also, since I'm super new to LSDs (this is what happens when you drive a SR5! ) is the HiAce diff you mentioned an open diff or a LSD?
chohdog,
You're right, that does look right up my alley But I'm cheap and would rather go with an OEM junkyard solution than spend $250 Glad to see there is an aftermarket option though
Another question:
This sounds like a PITA, but can you take any 6.7" LSD unit and change the final drive gear(s) to a 3.9 unit? It looks like you can, but (being new to LSDs) I wasn't sure if you have to swap the whole unit or not.
Thanks!
