Hey guys, I'm picking a corolla gts up tmr.
Talking to the owner, he said it would smoke under high rpm like 5k and up.
Is this normal? Cuz I know a lot of these motors smokes under high rpm.
He also said the oil goes down half a quart after 800miles or so,
Is this normal or it has a problem?
I am new to 4age.

That's not normal, sounds like it has worn rings to me. Unless you're getting it cheap and are prepared to rebuild it I wouldn't bother.

might be a cracked piston ring land.
check to see if any of the spark plugs are fouled with oil.

watched a video of it running and reving, the smoke doesn't seem to be bad by all means, it smokes a little when rev it up, but only a little,
also i've notice a little from start up, maybe worn valve stem seals, but it can hardly be noticed if you don't look closely.

what color smoke? Bluish=oil. white(like steam)= coolant.
