Desperately looking for the igniter/coil connector pinout for an ae82 FX GTS. Correct me if I'm wrong but the pinout for the ae86 should look like this:
IGT=Black
IGF=Black/Yellow
Tach=Black
IGN+=Black/Orange
NE=Red
The colored wires of the ae82 FX GTS are as follows: Beige, Green, Yellow, Light Blue, and Gray. Any help would be much appreciated.

From factory manual RM069U 1988 Corolla FX/FX16 US & Canada
There's no light blue or beige in the color chart.
Igniter pins> 6=B, 1=B, 4=B-Y, 2=W
ECU terminals> NE=W, IGF=B-Y, IGT=B, G+=B, G-=W

Thank you for the quick reply. I have tried to post a picture with no avail so I will try to be as descriptive as I can. I will try to pull one from the web. When I went to Toyota to identify it they said it was from an 87 fx16 so I dont know if the wiring diagrams are interchangeable. Also the 2 wire round plug going to the distributor is the early style plug usually on ae86's while the 5 wire plug is the later style plug square in shape. Part #''s for Igniter Assy is 89620-02010 and Coil w/Igniter is 19070-02010. Any help is appreciated.

I'm running ae86 igniter on my fx16 with no problem. I just spliced that dizzy plug that is different. Color match the wiring. Been running it for a year now. Hope that helps

Thank you for the replies and sorry for not being more specific. Finally got my ae86 running with some educated guesses. This is if you want to install 87-88 fx16/GTS into an ae86. Now I need to figure out why my exhaust gets so hot within seconds, I'm thinking TPS or timing.
fx16 ae86
Green------Red
Grey--------Black/yellow
Blue--------Black
Brown------Black/orange
Yellow-----Black

Usual cause is retarded ignition timing. Use a timing light to check.
