Weird issue
Car woudlnt start from time to time. My open circuit relay would click like crazy when idling allall the time. Fortunately I was close to home, itdidn't start for like 20 min. Came back with a spare relay. Started. Now say the car idles low for a second the relay will click. Was it really the relay? Did I get lucky? 87 gts
Odd starting issue
Re: Odd starting issue
COR is switched by the flap in the AFM opening. If there is not enough air
getting sucked into the AFM, the flap won't open far enough to hold the COR
contacts closed. If the flap is hovering right on the point of switching between
ON and OFF, it could be causing the COR to click.
Check that the flap is free to move (not got any crap caught under the edge)
and check that there is not a split (vacuum leak) in the ducting between the
AFM and the throttlebody. If there is a split in the duct, the engine will likely
be idling lower than usual
