So over the years with my car being down more than driven seems like there's an issue with my headlights they don't go down, i'd find it hard to believe both motors went bad at the same time, isn't there a switch/relay that controls both of them? maybe it's bad

Second on the switch, though i did not have to go as far as the re-soldering. Inspected the soldering and it was fine with no cracks or apparent shrinkage, but I did find a ridiculous amount of grease in the sliding contact area. Cleaned it up, polished the contacts and re-greased. Works like a charm now.
