A/c system from an sr5 work with a 4age 16v?

Postby notnilc20 » Sat Jul 16, 2016 5:16 pm

As some may know I am in the midst of doing and SR5 to GTS conversion and I'm trying to fit an AC system back in the car. I have a 4age 16v 3 rib block. Will I be able to use all the ac lines and components from an SR5?

Ps.... I know the compressor uses a different pulley but other than that are there any other differences?

I did search but came up with several answers and wanted to come here to ask the experts. thank you

The main differences are the clutch pulley, and the wiring harness (which is a pretty large difference). The A/C computer board inside the A/C evaporator unit is different, the harness that plugs into the evaporator and into the under-dash harness is different (the 4A-GE wiring has some extra relays).

Download that PDF and take a look at the wiring differences. I believe the hard lines and condenser/evaporator units are all the same between the models.
