4agze supercharged swap

Postby AE86Jon » Wed Feb 20, 2013 3:17 am

I have some questions on the 4agze supercharged engine swap. Right now my 86 is a sr5 stock motor, stock tranny, stock drive shaft, and stock rear end. I'm possibly picking up a JDM 4agze sc14 motor with everything and a new t50 tranny. I read on another forum that the sr5 can with a t50 what I'd like to know is how hard is this swap? What else do I need? Do I even need the new t50? Can I use the stock rear end and drive shaft? Etc. Anything you know about this swap would be helpful. Also would it be an on daily motor for now?

I'm supposed to pick up the motor and tranny this Friday(February 22nd 2013) if I do get it would I be able to do the swap this weekend and have it driving by Monday?

Thanks for any help

Can I use my T50 on my GZE: YES
Can I use my stock DIFF: YES, however stock Diff is limited to power and eventually will need to be upgraded to another diff that will need to be fabracated to fit. Or use WEIR Performance AXLE/LSD kit. Stock GZE with SC12 with a pully will be fine with a stock Diff so long as you are not clutch kicking everywhere.
Can I use the stock DriveShaft?: YES

What Do I need?:
ECU
Custom intercooler piping for front mount. Top mount will require cutting the hood. Cut hood, use AE101 hood scoop, bam top mount.
Wiring harness conversion (I have on for sale for an AE101 GZE)
RWD Header
RWD coolant pipes and water pump
RWD engine mounts

That about all I can think of off the top of my head. Also the 4AGZE never came with the SC14 only the SC12. Previas came with a SC14 and requires fabracation to use with a GZE.
