A/C for 20v swaps?
im in the process of 20v swapping my corolla, i dont really know what to do about climate control, can i just use an A/C compressor and other components from any old 86, should i look for a smallport compressor, or should i try and source a compressor from a 20v? i have the condenser, heater core, and all the piping needed, i just need a compressor. all help is appreciated
Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
For the easiest setup is to use the rwd 16v compressor and (someone correct me if I'm wrong) rwd main pulley. Iirc if you use the 20v pulley there's some shaving involved.

Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
would, the condenser and other components from my SR5 still work?
Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
Everything from the sr5 is compatible but the compressor because it's a single rib pulley. If you use the sr5 compressor you would need need to swap all the pulleys from the sr5 to the 20v to make it work.(I've only seen it done on a 16v but in theory should work on the 20v)

Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
i believe the AC compressor that denso sells comes with the pully on it, ill just need to find a new accessory belt
Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
That is correct. Good luck with your project

Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
thank you!!, ill post how it goes, and i hope the same setup works when i eventually go 7A
Re: A/C for 20v swaps?
If you can't get the A/C working just use the good 'ol 2/75.
One shot, one kill.
